There is much confusion in churches today over the age of the earth. The
truth is that most people are sincere, but misled by either woefully
ignorant and unlearned Bible teachers, or by greedy conmen like Ken Ham,
Henry Morris and Eric Hovind who exploit Christianity for personal gain,
whose God is their own belly. These men all pay themselves 6-digit salaries
per year, and rake in millions-of-dollars by promoting the heresy of a young
earth.
You need to understand as a Christian that science never contradicts the Bible, and the Bible never contradicts legitimate science. Where there are conflicts, science is false. Evolution is a cruel satanic hoax, fabricated by evil men to indoctrinate children's brains with lies intended to lead them astray from God. The bogus scam of Evolution dehumanizes man, justifies abortion in the minds of wicked people, and provides lame excuses for unbelievers to continue to reject God's Word. Even the most unlearned man can easily see that something is very wrong with the nutty theories of evolutionists.
For example: NASA, National Geographic magazine and other heathen reprobates, claim that our earth and moon were formed by the catastrophic chaos of two colliding planetary bodies. The Bible teaches that God made the earth and moon. Psalms 8:3, “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained.” Isaiah 45:12, “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.” God made all things. It ought to be clear then, just how wicked Walt Disney, the government's public school system, NASA, National Geographic, and thousands more Godless institutions really are, who all attribute creation to cosmic chaos and accidental aftermath and not the Lord God.
Scientific American posted an intriguing article written by Professor Paul S. Braterman titled, “How Science Figured Out The Age Of The Earth,” showing that science evidences the actual age of the earth as being 4.55 billion years old. The Holy Bible supports that claim. The Holy Bible agrees with this claim. Psalms 102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” The psalmist, King David, penned this Bible verse (writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) around 1,000 BC. The Bible dates the human race and the world as we know it today beginning around 4,000 BC. The Bible teaches an old earth, but a young human race! Carbon-14 dating can determine the age of certain objects up to 40,000 years old; such as, organic living organism and other carbon-based materials. Albeit, carbon-dating cannot be used to effectively determine the age of the earth. Young earth creation heretics have gone to ridiculous, unscientific and bizarre extremes to justify their dinosaurs in Eden fables.
Kindly, the following is typical heresy from ignorant and unlearned scientists and Christians who don't understand the Word of God. By studying Carbon-14 alone, one could errantly assume a young earth, but (as I mentioned) Carbon-14 can only be used to test certain materials (particularly, the resulting renovation of the earth during the catastrophe flood of Noah's time):
When Libby proposed the carbon-14 dating method back in the '50's, he assumed that carbon-14 must be in balance since, in his "unbiased" evolutionary opinion, "everyone knew" the earth was older than 30,000 years. His assumption was dead wrong! The atmospheric scientists knew it then, and all informed scientists know it now. The "atmospheric barrel" is only about one-third of the way to its carbon-14 balance point. On the face of it, there's only about enough carbon-14 in our atmosphere for an earth about 10,000 years old.
One scientist who knows that well is William Stansfield, In college-level textbook written by an evolutionist for evolutionists (The Science of Evolution, Macmillian, 1977, pp. 80-84), Stansfield points out that creationists are right about the facts: Carbon-14 is out of balance. He goes a step further and admits that one logical interpretation of the data would be an earth less than 20,000 years old. He even goes on to say, in a truly inspirational display of academic freedom and scientist honesty, that creationists submit evidences (he describes about a dozen) that can be used as scientific support for a young earth.
But Stansfield is an evolutionist who believes in an old earth. So he offers this answer to the carbon-14 argument for a young earth: "It is possible that a greater concentration of water vapor existed prior to the Biblical flood (presumably 5,000 years ago)."
Wow! Now there's an evolutionist argument a biblical creationist can live with! Stansfield's reference to a greater concentration of water vapor may remind you of the vapor canopy concept creationists have built by inference from Gen. 2:7 and the fossil data related to past climate. His dating for the biblical flood is better than many theologians, it seems to me, and he even uses a capital "B" for biblical too!
So there you have it. If the interpretation of carbon-14 data is to be based on a scientific respect for logic and observation, then either the earth is young, or the more likely, our atmosphere was radically upset by the catastrophic biblical flood 5,000 years ago!
If evolutionists can see such evidence so clearly, surely Christians should be encouraged to take God at His Word–His every word!

Science has shown repeatedly that the earth is very old. Biblically, God REMODELED the earth, beginning in Genesis 1:2. Clearly, dinosaurs did not live amongst mankind. Science and the Holy Bible are always in agreement. It is foolish and ignorant men who lack knowledge and wisdom, not God's Word.
