Retired minister Jack Weaver (died 2015), was a 1971 graduate of Florida Bible
College (not the Florida Bible College of Tampa with Dr. Hank Lindstrom),
where Billy Graham also graduated. Rightfully so, Mr. Weaver exposed FBC for
adopting Billy Graham's satanic Lordship Salvation teachings. Unfortunately,
Mr. Weaver taught some heresy of his own, leaving off sanctification.
The popular website, expreacherman.com, is a spiritual thug website, attacking anyone with whom they disagree. One frustrated woman (Vicki) recently wrote to me, letting me know that the administrators at Expreacherman.com blocked her out, banning her from the website for disagreeing with them, yet the website continues to talk negatively about her views and refute her opinions. I checked and she is correct. That is horrible! I am not defending the woman, that is between her and them.
Here is an example of Vicki debating in the website forum. There is a debate going on over whether someone can merely give a 2 second nod at the facts of the Gospel and be saved. The way I see it, both sides of the debate are missing some things. Vicki admittedly is confused and searching for answers. But the administrators at the expreacherman.com website are just as confused, lacking the understanding to help others grasp the truth. Since they cannot comprehend the depth of the Scriptures, they dismiss and ban people who fail to understand their position.
The folks at expreacherman.com are solely looking at things from a salvation perspective. That is, if you place your trust in the facts of the Gospel, you are saved. I agree 100% with that assertion. However, Vicki is looking at things from the perspective of a religious unsaved person, who lives the Christian life without ever being born again. We see Biblical evidence of this in Matthew 7:21-23. Seventh-day Adventists readily admit that Christ died on the cross for their sins, and that He was buried and raised up the third day, but they also teach that you must keep the Sabbath Day, live a holy life, and be water baptized to be saved. They nod at the message of the Gospel, but they are not saved.
Having said that, I DO believe that a person CAN be saved by simply believing the message of the Gospel. This is exactly how 3,000 souls were saved in Acts 2:41. This is how Paul said we are saved in Galatians 3:2b, “BY THE HEARING OF FAITH.” We are saved by believing (trusting) the Gospel when we hear it preached. It is that simple. This takes only one second. If you don't believe that a person can be saved by simply trusting the facts of the Gospel, then you are not saved. Now, is it possible to mentally assent to the facts of the Gospel without actually trusting in them?
Yes, it is. Someone argued in the expreacherman.com forum that the Bible makes no distinction between believing with the mind, verses believing with the heart. That is foolish talk. I love a statement that I heard years ago, which says, “Christ died, that's history; Christ died for me, that's salvation!” It is indeed possible to have historical knowledge of the facts of the Gospel, without actually personally trusting in those facts.

beats up on sincere people who are confused, labeling everyone who has
sincere questions and doesn't understand, as heretics? The administrators at
expreacherman.com greatly lack understand of the Word of God. All they know
is that salvation is a free gift, and that's the total extent of their
Biblical knowledge, so they cannot properly address the sincere concerns of
anyone who differs slightly from their doctrinal position. Now, I'm not
saying that I agree with everything Vicki says in their website forum, but
Vicki admittedly is confused and looking for answers, which the thuggish
people ate expreacherman.com (just like Jack Weaver who bit people's heads
off and bragged about being a mean old preacher).

Vicki’s posts were very “illuminating” to me, in a negative sort of way. I won’t engage her since she can’t respond, but I do have to say that in the short year or so that I’ve been aware of this site, I never got the impression that any of the “regulars” believe that “faith is nothing more than a mental nod toward some facts.” There is all the difference in the world between being aware of the Gospel vs. resting in the Gospel. The latter is faith, but Vicky couldn’t seem to resist attaching behavior (works)–or at least good intentions–to her idea of “real faith.” [emphasis added]

Whoa! They hypocritically teach that “believers should determine to allow Jesus to be Lord of our lives,” while condemning Vicki for saying that we should produce good works because we ARE SAVED, not to GET SAVED. What Vicki is saying is no different than what Jack is saying. Vicki says that we do good works because WE ARE SAVED, and not to BE SAVED. WHAT HYPOCRITES!!! Vicki doesn't mandate a changed life for salvation, she's just saying that with the indwelling Holy Spirit, something changes. That is Biblical.
2nd Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Good works are not evidence of salvation. A lost man can do good works. With Jack Weaver's extreme
prejudice in mind, how can he say that saved persons should “allow Jesus
to be Lord of our lives”? Hey, is he teaching a backdoor approach to
Lordship Salvation too? One could easily and justly argue that he does! If
no evidences of being saved are to be expected, then how can Jack expect a
believer to allow Jesus to be their Lord? Do you see his hypocrisy? I didn't
write this article to attack Jack Weaver or the administrators at
expreacherman.com; but rather, to contend for the Christian faith, and to
encourage and comfort those who have been maligned and hurt by Mr. Weaver
and his protégés. Sanctification is part of the Christian life. We are saved
in a moment by trusting Christ, but becoming Christlike takes a lifetime. We
are justified in God's sight by faith alone, but then our faith is validated
in the eyes of men by virtue of our works.
Expreacherman.com is a Good Example of How Not to Treat Other People
For anyone to berate and browbeat a sincere person, who is seeking answers concerning how “works” relate to salvation and the Christian life, we ought to be gentle, patient, apt to teach, and have a spirit of meekness (to be “meek” means, “humility; humble in spirit or manner; suggesting retiring mildness or even cowed submissiveness”)...
2nd Timothy 2:23-26, “But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
We're not going to help people by biting their heads off. It seems to me that the folks at expreacherman.com are more interested in tooting their own horns, proclaiming themselves as the last bastion of the truth about salvation, and in so doing have carried their shenanigans to cultic levels, refusing to tolerate anyone who even remotely suggests that being saved produces a changed life. If taken out of context (which Jack Weaver and his followers love to do, cherry-picking people's statements), you can demonize anybody for their words!!! This is unethical.
Folks, when you get saved, God comes to live inside of you! Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Now when you get saved, NOTHING CHANGES, except that you now have the Holy Spirit indwelling you. The Bible says you are now “a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2nd Corinthians 5:17b). That simply means that you now have the Holy Spirit of God. Whereas you couldn't previously understand spiritual things, now you can begin to learn. 1st Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” Only a saved person can grasp the things of God. There is a growth in grace process that begins at salvation. 1st Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”
A changed life is the FRUIT of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and not a part of the ROOT of saving faith. That's what I have always taught, and still do. That doesn't mean anything is REQUIRED as evidence of being saved, it's not. Some believers choose not to walk in the Spirit, and they have no fruit (Galatians 5:22-25). This in no way means or evidences that they are not saved. Eternal life is a free gift, that you simple receive by faith alone in the Gospel. Nothing else is required to be or remain saved. But if there are any true changes in a believer's life, and not just superficial human behavioral changes, it will be the fruit of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
By the way, the ridiculous biting and devouring of one another at expreacherman.com, is a perfect example of why I won't start a forum on my website. People nit-pick, to the point of insanity. A woman once wrote to me, criticizing me for teaching to “receive” Jesus. I sent her John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” Another man was critical of the idea that faith is a “work.” Evidently he never read John 6:29, “Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Most people are woefully ignorant of the Scriptures, but they are wicked enough to be overly critical of things they don't understand. I won't get into heated debates with people. I allow people to express their opposing views to me, but when they start degrading me for my beliefs, I block them out. Fortunately, there's only been a few. Some people are arrogant, and think they couldn't possibly be wrong.
And just for the record, I am 100%
against the teachings of John Calvin, except that I DO believe in the
eternal security of the believer. I am against all of the five popular
tenets of Calvinism. John MacArthur (who attended college at the shameful
Alexandrian cult promoting Bob Jones University), boasts of being a 5-point
Calvinist. Calvinism has been repackaged into what is commonly known today
as “Lordship Salvation.” I am 100% against all forms of Lordship Salvation,
including backdoor approaches to it. Our faith is not somehow validated,
sealed nor made perfect by our works. Forgiveness of sins is a gift, paid
for by Jesus' precious blood, which is why God forgives us when we confess,
before we've even asked for it (1st John 1:9). You don't have to “ask” God
to forgive your sins. You simply place your trust in what Christ did on the
cross to pay for your sins, believing that He was buried, and then raised up
three days later, and you are saved immediately and permanently (1st
Corinthians 15:1-6).
You Don't Allow Jesus to Be “Lord,” He is Lord of Every Believer's Life

one verse that directs a Christian to receive Jesus as their “Lord,” unless
you have a counterfeit Bible version.
Romans
10:9 in the Alexandrian PERversions require saying “Jesus is lord,”
which is a lie of the Devil. You don't make Jesus Lord, because HE IS
LORD!!!
The question is, will you obey Jesus as your Lord? That is, as your Master? This is very different from “allowing” Jesus to be your Lord. This is entirely a matter of discipleship, and has NOTHING to do with being saved. So, Jack Weaver doesn't know as much as he thinks he knows. Instead of horribly berating people who don't see things the way JACK DOES, that doesn't mean they are necessarily wrong.
Jack Weaver and the people at Expreacherman.com, are wrong to attack anyone who dares to say that we live right because we ARE SAVED and not to GET SAVED. I read Vicki's comments, and she clearly does NOT believe that works are required to be saved, neither to remain saved. She simply believes that being saved ought to bring forth some fruits because of it. And for that she is condemned. In my humble opinion, Jack Weaver was a theological thug, who hurt a lot of sincere people, and the mean-spirited people still running his website are no better than he was, arrogant and proud!!! A spirit of arrogance permeates their website.
Jack Weaver I think was sincere, but confused. On the webpage “about” his website, Mr. Weaver boasts of being “narrow-minded.” Unfortunately, he was more narrow-minded than the Bible, which is a bad thing. I am as narrow-minded as the King James Bible!!! I don't think I know more than God. If my opinion differs from God's, then God is ALWAYS right!!! Jack Weaver completely ignores the Epistle of 1st John. He ignores the doctrine of sanctification. If you browse through his website, you won't find hardly anything about sanctification, because with their nutty extreme views, they couldn't even teach about the subject of sanctification without contradicting themselves repeatedly. In other words, to the man with a hammer in his hand, everything starts looking like a nail sticking up!!! Jack Weaver saw everything as a nail sticking up!!!
